HEARTBREAK
Heartbreak is dialectical. It is both personal and universal, destructive and generative, violent and transcendent. My work integrates photographs of gears, lungs, and hearts with x-rays of the human body to create images that express the profound pain that gnashes at our vital organs and bones. I establish symmetry by organizing the elements into patterns and mandala-like compositions, reflecting both the universal and spiritual aspects of heartbreak.
